Pharmacist
Dispensary Technician
Under the Pharmacy Industry Award (PIA), Dispensary Technicians must be employed as a "Pharmacy Assistant - Level 3" or higher. The table above assumes the in-store employee is employed as a permanent (non-casual) employee under the PIA as a "Pharmacy Assistant - Level 3" and at the minimum award rate. Higher in-store rates would apply for someone being paid above minimum award rate and for someone employed as a "Pharmacy Assistant-Level 4".

Plans
You need to subscribe to a plan to use Dispense Assist. There are five plans, all of which are prepaid plans of different costs, including a prepaid plan of zero cost. A plan determines what discounts you receive on standard hourly rates. The higher the plan, the more you need to prepay, but the higher the discounts you receive. A plan lasts for one month, starting on the day you start your subscription. You can change your plan anytime and the change will take affect from next month, on the date your subscription renews. There is no limit on how much you can spend each month. If you exceed your plan's prepaid amount, simply continue to pay your plan's hourly rates until the end of your subscription month, when you will be charged for any excess spend. Any unused prepay will be forfeited at the end of the subscription month.
Pricing
Hourly rates are based on what plan you are on and therefore what discounts you receive, whether you book in advance or with less than 72hrs from the start of the Monday-Sunday week that the session falls in, whether you use a Dispense Assist Technician (Advanced) or Dispense Assist Technician (Basic) and whether you share this technician with other stores or use them exclusively. Plan discounts apply to all sessions booked except those booked with less than 72hrs from the start of the Monday-Sunday week that sessions fall in or cancelled with less than 72hrs notice. Hourly rates are higher for a Dispense Assist Technician (Advanced) compared to a Dispense Assist Technician (Basic) , but not significantly. Our best value sessions are exclusive sessions, where our technician helps dispense exclusively for your store. You pay our lowest rates by choosing a shared session, which is ideal for smaller stores or less-busy times. A shared - 4 stores session is one where our technician helps dispense simultaneously for your store and three others. A shared - 2 stores session is one where our technician helps dispense simultaneously for your store and one other. Same rates apply 24/7/365. Pay no more for nights, weekends, public holidays and overtime, avoiding penalty rates and overtime rates of up to 2.25 normal rates.
Compulsory Leave Entitlements Fee
In-store employees must be paid compulsory leave entitlements, consisting of annual leave, annual leave loading, sick & carer's leave, compassionate & bereavement leave, paid days off during public holidays that are normally worked, long service leave and casual leave loading in lieu of all of those. These are payable to all employees in addition to employees' rates of pay. Similarly, a compulsory leave entitlements fee is payable in addition to our hourly rates. This fee is the same percentage as the leave loading stipulated in the Pharmacy Industry Award - 25%. However, since our hourly rates are up to 91% less than award rates, our fee is up to 91% less than payable under the Pharmacy Industry Award.
Superannuation Fee
In-store employees must be paid compulsory superannuation, consisting of the Australian Government Superannuation Guarantee. This is payable to all employees in addition to employees' rates of pay and compulsory leave entitlements. Similarly, a superannuation fee is payable in addition to our hourly rates and compulsory leave entitlements fee. This fee is the same percentage as the Superannuation Guarantee - 11.5%. However, since our hourly rates are up to 91% less than award rates, our fee is up to 91% less than payable under the Pharmacy Industry Award.
Cancellation Fee
A cancellation fee of $10 per session hour applies to all sessions cancelled with less than 72hrs notice. This is in lieu of the normal session cost, which is not payable.
